A vacation rental in Tuscany

Would you like to spend a vacation in Tuscany, in a small villa with a panoramic position overlooking the Tuscan hills of Chianti, while still being not far from Florence and at few steps from shops and restaurants? We have the solution! The vacation home "Il Visciolo" is a typical two-storey single-family Tuscan farmhouse (not an apartment), usually in Italy we don't call that kind of accommodation a villa, but some of our foreign guest do.
Our home for rent is set in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, a country village 9 miles from Florence centre.

Located near Florence and Siena

Our vacation home is only 9.3 miles far from Florence Historic Center, 31 miles from Siena, 47 miles from Pisa. San Casciano village is easily connected to Florence and Siena by a divided highway. You can reach Florence center even by coach, a car is not needed; the trip takes approximately 30 minutes and ends next to Firenze Santa Maria Novella (which is the central railway station in Florence).
Rome and Venice can be reached by car within 3 hours, alternatively you arrive in those cities getting an Eurostar train in Florence.

Set in the village of San Casciano in Val di Pesa

Location, location, location! The vacation home is 380 yards from the main square of San Casciano in Val di Pesa, a village in the Florence province. A big COOP supermarket is 820 yards from the property and there are many shops at shorter distance. Il Visciolo guests can go dining in local restaurants without taking the car.

Rental by private owners

The vacation home was recently restored by us. We live in a next door farmhouse, we are able to speak English and we will be at your disposal for any question you may have regarding your stay in Tuscany: where to eat, places to visit, travel tips and so on. The small villa for rent is surrounded by a yard with olive and fruit trees.

A self-catering accommodation

"Il Visciolo" is a self catering accommodation, not a B&B or an hotel; that means we can not provide meals to our guests but we provide bedding, linen and weekly cleanings (included into rental price). The house has got an equipped kitchen with dishware and all the necessary to prepare meals.

Facilities

• Outdoors: terrace, gazebo, table and chairs, shared garden, stone barbecue, iron barbecue;
• utilities: dishwasher, cooker, fridge, freezer, washing machine;
• air conditioning (since April 2010), log fire, broadband Internet access (Wi-Fi enabled), central heating, CD player, satellite TV, kettle, toaster, iron, hair dryer;
• silverware, linen and towels provided;
• secure parking inside the property's gate.

The house is well equipped with all the necessary for a proper living. We had guests staying there for months even with childrens attending the local school, if you have any doubt regarding the house furnitures, please ask. Inside the house you will find some English travel guides to Florence, Chianti and Tuscany.

Wireless connection is provided, it covers all the house and part of the garden. The house has got VDSL Internet access (30 Mbit/s), it is unmetered and there is a modem-router (Wi-Fi b/g/n and Ethernet cable).
